TRANSFORMING THROUGH LOSS

Dreams, Death, and Life After Death

ongoing workshop series

In this exploratory workshop, we navigate the transpersonal spectrum of loss through what we cannot so readily explain, but which is an integral part of the process of facing loss and death—dreams, visions, extrasensory perceptions, synchronicities, symbolic occurrences, and more.

Through dreamwork, imaginal journeys, ritual, learning our own symbolic language, cultivating symbolic relationships, heightening our extrasensory perceptions, we develop a richer, healthier, and more balanced relationship with loss, mortality, grief, and the great beyond.

Online classroom, self-directed practices, readings, discussions, experiential & creative exercises, self-reflections, four 90-minute live Zoom sessions, recorded for replay.

Begins once yearly in April. Currently on hold.

CONSCIOUS LIVING AND DYING

Compassionate Accompaniment & the Labor of the Life, Death and Transition Doula

15-week intensive training

Life, Death & Transition Doula is a compassionate companion, supporter, advocate, assistant to any person ready and willing to contemplate loss, grief, death and the natural cycles of living and dying in order to live a fuller, more meaningful life to its most peaceful end.

Compassionate Accompaniment is a state of being, a lifestyle, a spiritual practice, a natural human impulse, and a grossly untapped human potential.

In this experiential immersion training we explore and tap into our own depths and capacity for compassionate presence, care & accompaniment with self and other through the cycles of life-death-life.

Online classroom with videos, slideshows, readings, discussions, experiential & creative exercises, self-reflections, four 120-minute live Zoom sessions, four 90-minute live Zoom study group sessions, recorded for replay, and more.

Begins twice a year in January and September.

Online classroom with videos, slideshows, readings, discussions, experiential & creative exercises, self-reflections, four 120-minute live Zoom sessions, four 90-minute live Zoom study group sessions, recorded for replay, and more.

DREAM WORKSHOPS

PERSONALIZED WORKSHOPS TAILORED TO YOUR AND YOUR GROUP’S NEEDS

Creative Dreamwork Journal Workshop

In this workshop we learn about dreamwork hygiene, journal keeping, our personal dream symbol inventory, and all the aspects and elements to pay attention and record for maximum benefit of our dreamwork.

We learn about dream allies and moon cycles, and how to best engage them for intentional dreamwork, dream incubation, and waking dreams. We learn also how to plan, execute, and keep track of our experiments with dream allies and the phases of the moon.

Creative Approaches to Dreamwork Workshop

This Introduction to Creative Dreamwork Workshop offers a variety of creative approaches to working with dreams both individually and in groups. Within the structure of the dream circle, we will explore individual dreams through these various approaches as our dreams require it, and discover and expand upon the multiple layers of meaning in our dreams. In this way we find new ways of relating to our dream riddles and metaphors, which in turn facilitate new ways of being, perceiving, relating, experiencing, and manifesting in our waking life.

Dream Talisman Creation Workshop

To prepare for this workshop, we pay attention to dream wisdom to guide us in understanding our current unconscious healing journey. We collaborate with dreammaker and the unconscious to receive instruction about what will support our current growth process, and from this we develop a design and plan for fabrication of a sterling silver dream talisman—no previous silversmithing experience required. The dream talisman serves as key between the sleeping and waking worlds, and the transpersonal practice of making physical that which comes to us from dreamtime realms is a powerful gesture that supports the conscious, physical manifestation of the work of the unconscious.

WORKING WITH QI

PERSONALIZED CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS TAILORED TO YOUR AND YOUR GROUP’S NEEDS

Taoist Tai Chi & Qigong Classes

Tai Chi as therapeutic exercise promotes health and longevity. Based on aligned and adaptable stretching and turning movements that suit your individual needs, the Tai Chi practice restores, improves, and maintains physical, mental, and emotional health.

This Tai Chi form is a modified Yang style with a strong foundation in Taoist inner arts and Medical Qigong.

Qigong involves breathing techniques, postural alignment, and body mechanics to prevent injury and increase blood and oxygen flow. Tai Chi is Qigong in motion. Qigong helps boost our energy, avoid burnout, and reduce inflammation, pain, and general malaise, positively affecting the lymphatic, endocrine, genitourinary, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, nervous, and craniosacral systems. Qigong promotes relaxation, brings our hormonal systems into balance, and strengthens our immune system. Qigong also enhances mental clarity and positive thinking.

Taoist Inner Arts Classes

Taoist Inner Arts is a breath and visualization meditation practice for self-healing, the in-depth inner alchemy work at the foundation of Tai Chi and Qigong practices. Through this mindful practice we cultivate and intentionally engage life force, creative energy, and wisdom energy toward greater health, wholeness, wellbeing, connection with Self and others, and clarity of purpose and life direction.

The class covers the theory and practice of self-healing, which can then be brought to the Qigong and Tai Chi practice for greater and more evident health benefits.

Wilka has been generous, kind, and thoughtful in her work with me. Sessions with her have always centered around creating community and well-being through heightening consciousness one person and one moment at a time. In my experience, her ultimate goal is to do what she can to create a better world; this lofty goal somehow never seems unachievable when you are in the presence of the light, knowledge, and enthusiasm that she brings to her work.
